Overview
The Sunday
Music Series schedule webpage is generated from data stored in a
database. The internet schedule builder allows you to enter
schedule information
in data entry forms, generate the webpage, and upload it to
the internet.
Schedule
Information
You
can
- Enter a new concert
- Click "ADD CONCERT TO SCHEDULE
- Enter Concert Information:
- Date
- Name of the group
- Location
- Internet address of group's website (optional).
Enter the complete URL, Including http://
- Comment (optional)
- Click CONTINUE
- Delete an existing concert: click DELETE to the
right of the concert listing
- Modify an existing concert
- Click MODIFY to the right of the concert
listing
- Make desired changes
- Click CONTINUE
- Enter or modify other information that appears on the website or change the password: click HOUSEKEEPING
- Start a new season (see below)
Preview the webpage
At
anytime you can preview what the webpage will look like by
- Clicking PREVIEW SCHEDULE
- To return to the website builder, click the RETURN
link at the top
Upload the webpage
to the internet
Click
UPLOAD TO INTERNET

Information
Several
other data fields can be modified by clicking
HOUSEKEEPING
- The following appear on the webpage
- Year.
It is understood that the season runs from the Fall of the year entered
until the spring of the next year, e.g., 2014-2015. Normally,
this would not need to be changed.
- Chairperson's name
- Chairperson's email address
- Chairperson's phone
- Text describing the Sunday Music Series
- Name of the webpage, e.g., sundayMusic.htm. Currently, the
webpage is hosted at biketrain.net. Therefore, the complete
URL (web address) would be for example biketrain.net/sundayMusic.com
- Password:
between 4 and 8 characters.
Click
UPDATE to post the changes and RETURN TO MAIN SCREEN when
you are finished.
Start a new season
To
wipe out current concerts and advance the year by one,
- Click HOUSEKEEPING
- Click START NEW SEASON
- Click RETURN TO MAIN SCREEN
IMPORTANT NOTE
Whenever you enter a change in a data field, you must click CONTINUE
before
exiting the screen in order for the new value to be stored in the
database.
